What is Project: Pale Shadow?
Starting as a simple npc companionship prototype; Project Pale Shadow is a third person action-adventure game in which you play as the half-winged angel named Shadow. You have been imprisoned inside of the forsaken Pale abyss, a realm in ruin where only distorted pillars and pathways remain. Along your journey you meet another angel—wingless, and alone, named Pale. She accompanies you on the journey to escape the Pale Abyss. With her healing abilities and Shadow’s fighting power, the two must protect each other from the damned souls and find a way to reach the black gate which could be their means of escape.
Project: Pale Shadow was featured as a test demo at The NYU Game Center in 2026, developed for console and PC.

Role
I take the role of game director and technical designer. Over the course of 10 months, I developed the narrative, game world history/lore, and game design. Along with Shadow’s concept art, in-game lighting, logo design, key art, C# coding, and level design. Over the course of its development, I met 7 amazing people who would help as designers, and I became responsible for managing all of their roles (audio design, song writing, voice acting, concept art, environmental art).
Environment

One of the biggest and most ambitious tasks was creating the Pale Towers. Starting off as a simple sketch, I handed the concept to one of my 3D artists, Shaweteabae who modeled two versions of the towers, along with their respective bridges. I wanted the towers to feel like great megastructures, once monumental, now forgotten and in ruin, with a staircase inside leading to exit points.
